Interesting trend: intent-based prospecting and cold outreach ๐ฅ Sales prospecting and outreach have changed a lot since 2015. Google and Yahoo spam policies, new sending limits, domain reputation, spam filters, AI emails, email outreach automation, dozens of tools and tactics. Tons of similar emails in decision-makersโ inboxes ๐ฅ Thus, open and reply rates drop down ๐ป As a result, we can observe a rise of creative intent-based cold outreach strategies. This approach relies on specific events signaling that company or prospect is ready to purchase software, products, or services. But since there are hundreds of signals, we will need lots of tools and product that can identify those signals. There are already a few crystalised tool categories: ๐ป Technographic intent > reach out to companies that use a specific technology ๐ผ Job changes intent > reach out to customers who changed their company and used your product there. ๐ Hiring intent > reach out to companies that are actively hiring right now. ๐ LinkedIn post likers > reach out to leads that are active on LinkedIn. ๐ง Social listening intent > reach out to leads that mention specific keywords on the internet. ๐ Dark funnel intent > reach out to companies that visit your website. Warm intros > reach out to common connections for an intro.
