LAUNCH DAY: We've analyzed 300M data points to pull together the best report out there on what works and what doesn't work for user onboarding and feature adoption. Check it out all 35 pages at: https://lnkd.in/eQTr3ZY8 Some quick takeaways ⚡️ Product Tours are ~2x more likely to be completed when a user is given a choice. Chameleon splits the "type" of Product Tour you can build into "Walkthrough" and "Announcement" and you should use a similar mental model when creating any type of tour/guide/flow. 🧪 AB testing in-app experiences led to an avg 5% increase in conversion Chameleon has built-in AB testing, including statistical significance detection and AI-generated variants. If you're serious about improving your metrics, you have to be testing and iterating! ✅ On Checklists: only about 10% of users find and engage; and on average 5 items are completed. Keep your checklists to 5-6 items and do a better job of announcing and styling these to improve discoverability and engagement. 💬 Microsurvey completion rates dropped significantly in the last year (by ~25% on average) -- this is a word of warning to avoid over-surveying. Ways that we try to prevent this and help you long-term: - Microsurveys are single-question by default (designed to avoid long surveys in-app which lead to low responses and user fatigue) - Rate Limiting / frequency capping for microsurveys vs. other Experiences, so you can throttle your surveys more than other in-app experiences - Automatic unpublishing based on # of responses collected... once you've got a sufficient number of responses you should turn these off to avoid unnecessary questioning. We're continuing to invest in building deeper functionality based on good design practices that WORK for end-users. #plg #useronboarding #startups #saas #metrics #benchmarks #product #ux #design
