"What problem are you solving" is not an easy question. Here's how to answer it if you're a horizontal PLG company ⬇️ Though it SEEMS simple... there are several layers to every problem you solve. If your product has many use cases across multiple industries and types of teams, figuring out how to explain it can be tricky. All problems come in 4 levels: 1️⃣ Industry-level problems → These are the meta-level problems that matter to investors → Talk about these in your investor decks, the "About" page on your website, speaking at conferences, and in PR pieces 2️⃣ Company-level problems → These are the types of problems that would matter to a company, but not necessarily one specific team → Talk about these on the homepage of your website (unless your product is focused on specific team) 3️⃣ Team-level problems → These are the issues that come up within specific teams in a company → Talk about these when targeting specific groups of people in your go-to-market (LinkedIn ads, targeted organic content, etc.) 4️⃣ Individual-level problems → These are the problems that matter to a single person → Talk about these on sales calls, outbound emails, or in ABM campaigns #productmarketing #saas #plg #startups
